Welcome to Landis One Club! The contents on this website and member services are provided by The Landis Management Co. Ltd. To protect your rights and assist you in understanding our special offers and reward point policies, we have provided below the terms and conditions for all members. Click on the following index for membership details. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact our customer service department at (02) 2592-8469. * The following terms and conditions apply to members of all Landis One Club member classes. Revisions will be announced on the Landis One Club website. By submitting the application and accepting our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to these terms and conditions. I. Overview 1. We may terminate the member program at anytime and we reserve the right to make revisions to any agreements, special offers or gifts without prior notice. Landis One Club reserves the ultimate right to explain and interpret the terms and conditions how it sees fit. 2. The Landis One Club program may be terminated at anytime without notice. Members will have six months from the date we terminate the program to accumulate reward points and redeem them for gifts. Any points earned will expire after these six months. 3. The reward points and membership are not your personal property but belong to Landis One Club. Any unredeemed points will expire if your membership is terminated for any reason. 4. The reward points bear no monetary value. Expired and unused points cannot be redeemed for cash. 5. Members cannot earn bonus points for any spending or accommodation that took place before joining the Landis One Club. II. Membership 1. Only persons 18 years or older are eligible to register for Landis One Club membership. Membership in the Landis One Club does not grant the holder to membership in other companies and other institutions. The Landis reserves the right to accept or reject any membership application. 2. Every Landis One Club member is allowed to open and hold one member account. Membership privileges and reward points may be revoked in the event that a member attempts to obtain multiple member accounts. 3. Please use your ID number (or passport number for non-Taiwanese nationals) as your account name when registering for membership and please set a password for your account. 4. Please provide accurate information and remember your password. Do not submit any repeat applications. 5. Please remember your member account information and password and be sure to log out when you leave our website. Members are fully accountable for the activities associated with their membership account and password. 6. Membership to Landis One Club is accepted at the sole discretion of Landis Management Co. Ltd. A membership number will be provided without issuing physical membership cards. Member may not transfer nor share his or her membership rights to/with any other person. 7. Our membership program includes general members and platinum members. 8. General membership is activated once you log onto our website. 9. Platinum membership is granted to guests who have stayed at participating Landis hotels over 15 times or 30 nights which are eligible for our reward point program in a calendar year, i.e. January 1 through December 31. 10. If your stay is not paid for at a room rate eligible for our reward points program, we will not be able to credit reward points to your member account. 11. The Landis Group defines what qualifies as accommodation which is eligible for our reward point program. III. Bonus points 1. Bonus points will only be granted for eligible stays at participating Landis hotels. 2. The list of participating Landis hotels may be changed at anytime without prior notice. The list of participating Landis hotels may be viewed at www.landisoneclub.com. If a hotel announces that it will exit the Landis Group or exit the Landis One Club program, accommodation at that hotel will not be eligible to earn reward points after the announcement, regardless of when reservations were made. 3. Accommodation which is ineligible to earn reward points includes, but is not limited to, wholesale tour packages, room rates offered to partner airlines and travel agencies, payment made by gift vouchers or other forms of cash equivalent, stays free of charge, stays paid for with reward points, and special room rates for groups, promotions and employees. Expenditures associated with the abovementioned categories are also not eligible to earn reward points. 4. A maximum of three rooms per night may be counted during an eligible stay on condition that the Landis One Club member stays in one of the rooms, and the three rooms are paid for in full by the member. Should your group stay in more than three rooms, the two extra rooms to be eligible for reward points will be those with the higher room rates. Accommodation which involves more than one room will only be viewed as one stay. 5. Members cannot share membership accounts as a means to accumulate points. 6. General members will get one point for every NT$50 or Rmb10 spent on eligible accommodation at a Landis hotel in Taiwan or China, respectively. Dollar amounts eligible for reward points will be rounded down to the nearest NT$50 or Rmb10. 7. Platinum members will get 1.25 points with every NT$50 or Rmb10 spent on eligible accommodation at Landis in Taiwan and China, respectively. Dollar amounts eligible for reward points will be rounded down to the nearest NT$50 or Rmb10. 8. Points are calculated based on the full price paid for an ordinary stay or half of the price paid for special offers. Please refer to individual Landis hotels for specific definitions of “special offer.” 9. Expenditures ineligible for reward points include but are not limited to: #Food, beverage, alcohol, mini bar, direct calls and facsimiles made in the guest room, as well as laundry, pay-per-view movies and video games #Food & beverages, banquets and conferences during the stay #Spending on parking, business center, souvenirs and spa treatments #Any payments made using gift vouchers or any other forms of cash equivalent 10. During your eligible stays at the Landis Taipei Hotel and Hotel One Taichung, food & beverages expenditure transferred to your room account, excluding conference and banquet for over 12 people, will also earn reward points. 11. Reward points are valid for three calendar years. So for example, reward points earned on October 11, 2009 would be good through December 31, 2011 and become invalid thereafter. IV. Redemption and transfer 1. Members must have enough reward points required in order to redeem for gifts. 2. We may change the Landis ONE Club’s website at anytime without individually notifying members. 3. Members to redeem reward points by logging onto our website www.landisoneclub.com . 4. Collection of gifts: #Hotel room vouchers may be collected at the issuing hotel or mailed to the member. Postal delivery will take one to two weeks and the mailing address only applies for places on Taiwan island, excluding Kinmen, Matsu, Penghu and other outlying islands. #Food & beverage and hot-spring bath vouchers, as well as non-certificate gifts, may be collected at the issuing hotel. #Members must produce personal identification or passport when collecting gifts or vouchers in person. 5. We will not be liable to members for any lost or damaged gifts. 6. Members may use the gifts or transfer the gifts to another person. 7. Members are not allowed to sell the gifts and the Landis assumes no responsibility for disputes arising from your gift disposal. V. Contact 1. We will email changes regarding your reward points to the email account provided during membership registration. 2. Members may log onto the Landis ONE Club website to check their reward point balance and to see records of their related expenditures and redemptions. Each member is responsible for notifying us of any changes to their contact information. We will not take any responsibility for mail that is lost, delayed, stolen or otherwise impaired as a result of inaccurate contact information. VI. Authorization of personal information By registering for membership in the Landis ONE Club, you agree to allow your personal information to be accessed by the Landis ONE Club, hotels within the Landis Group, as well as our partners in other industries. Your information may help us in providing you with information regarding products and packages in which you might be interested, such as hotels, plane tickets, consumer products and other special offers. By registering for membership in the Landis ONE Club, you also agree that we may at times access information regarding dietary preferences, health issues, and other personal information. VII. Others 1. Interpretation of our terms and conditions and relations between the Landis ONE Club and its members are legally bound by justice of the Republic of China (Taiwan). 2. The Taiwan Taipei District Court will be the trial court for all litigation concerning interpretation and application of these terms and conditions.
